Réveil au petit matin dans l’hotel Onar sur la côte nord du Péloponnèse. On a enfin un vrai ciel bleu et le plein de soleil !
펠로포네즈 북쪽 해안가에 위치한 오나호텔에서 자그마한 아침을 맞이했습니다. 이제서야 진정 푸르른 하늘과 구름 한점 없이 햇살만 가득한 날씨가 우리를 반겼습니다. (겨울에 떠나도 유럽남부 출발이라 항상 따뜻할 줄 알았던 우리의 빗나간 예상…. 한달 지나서야 기대하던 날씨를 찾았답니다.)
Awakening in the morning at Onar hotel on the northern coast of Peloponnese. Finally we can enjoy a real blue sky and get filled by the sun !

Ancienne Corinthe: beaucoup de montées pour y parvenir, fermé à 15:00 comme pas mal de monuments en Grèce. Du coup on a regardé de dehors et tenu compagnie aux chiens errants.
고대고린도: 도착하기까지 그냥 자전거로 산을 오르는 것과 같았습니다. 3시에 도착하고보니 3시에 문 닫은 고대유적지. 결국 우리는 동네 개떼를 동반한채 주변을 슬렁슬렁 배회하며 둘러보았습니다.
Ancient Corinth: a lot of upward slopes to get there, closed at 3pm like many monuments in Greece. As a consequence, we looked from outside and stayed with the wandering dogs for a while.

Usine Papafilis. Nous faisions du vélo le long de la mer Égée, de l’autre côté du canal et le jour arrivait à sa fin. Ne voulant pas camper dans une zone industrielle, nous avons demandé des conseils à un gardien de sécurité. Il nous a demandé de patienter pendant qu’il passait des coups de fil pour nous trouver des possibilités d’hôtellerie. Je commençais à m’inquiéter parce que la lumière du jour disparaissait rapidement. Mais impossible de repartir sans que notre ami ne trouve une solution. Il nous demande de le suivre dans l’usine, nous découvrons M. Papafilis en personne qui nous propose, tel un agent de voyage, des hôtels dans diverses villes, Google Earth à l’appui pour nous donner toutes les cartes. Nous acceptons ses conseils et le remercions: son employé (et ami) va chercher un pickup, nous chargeons les vélos et il nous conduit jusqu’à l’hôtel le plus proche ! Le lendemain nous comprendrons en reprenant la route que nous avons eu de la chance: la route passait par une grosse raffinerie (à l’odeur nauséabonde) et il aurait été impossible de planter la tente pendant encore de nombreux kilomètres.
Merci donc aux Papafilis, et à Panagiotis de l’hotêl d’Isthmia qui nous a offert une bouteille d’huile d’olive et suivis sur facebook (coucou)
날이 저물어 올때 즈음해서 우리는 코린트운하 반대방향의 에개해를 따라 페달을 밟았습니다. 큰도로를 피한다고 바닷길을 택했는데 이번엔 망했습니다. 공장지대였음. 숲이 작게나마 펼쳐져 있었지만 왠지 음산한 공장 옆에서 캠핑을 할 용기는 나지 않더군요. 해서 가까운 빵공장이 뵈길래 그곳 안전요원님께 길을 물었답니다. 친절한 아저씨께선 좀 기다리라며 분주히 여기저기 전화를 하며 숙소를 문의해주셨습니다.
하지만 빠르게 덮쳐오는 어둠은 브놔와 저를 긴장시키기 시작했습니다. 밤에 달리기는 좀 무섭습니다 진짜! 허나 아저씨는 분주. 그냥 저희가 찾아볼게요 할 수 없는 그분의 열정적인 움직임. 결국 우리를 공장 옆 회사로 들이셨습니다. 그리고 왠 회사원으로 보이는 분을 소개해주셨고 그 분은 더욱 열정적으로 여행사 직원마냥 우리를 위해 숙소를 알아봐주셨습니다. 구글어스로 요롷게요롷게 하면서 길도 보여주시고 다양한 지역의 여러 가격의 호텔을 제시하시며 선택의 우리의 몫이라 하셨지요. 대충 가까운 동네를 찾으려했던 우리의 작은 의지는 그분들의 확신에 찬 그들의 도움에 빼빼로마냥 꺽일 뿐였습니다. 그 거친 분이 명함도 주시며 도움이 필요하면 언제든 연락해 내 친구 브놔. 라고 하셨는데. 명함을 보니 빵 브랜드이름과 그 회사원님 이름이 같더군요. 빠빠필리스 회장님. 안전요원님도 실은 회장님 절친.
그리고 요원 절친 아저씨께서 우리를 가장 가까운 호텔까지 자전거와 함께 실어다 주셨습니다.(기나긴 안내로 밤이 되었기에…) 그리고 다음날 날이밝고 페달을 밟으며 우리는 얼마나 운이 좋았나를 실감하였습니다: 한참동안 길 옆에는 석유공장이 자리잡고 있었고 오염된 공기는 어젯밤 야생캠핑했다가 폐 썩을뻔.
진심 고마웠어요 파파필리스 회장님과 안정요원 친구 아저씨 그리고 우리에게 지역 특산품이라며 올리브오일도 주시고 페북의 절친이 되어주신 이스미아 호텔의 파나지오티 아저씨!
Papafilis factory. We were riding along the Egean see on the other side of the canal and e day was coming to an end. As we did not feel like camping in an industrial zone, we asked a security guard for advice. He asked us to wait while he was phoning around to gather info on available hosting options. I was starting to worry because the sunlight was fading out quicly. But no way to leave before a solution was found ! We are invited inside the offices and meet Mr Papafilis in person who shows us our hotel options, like a travel agency, with negociated prices and localization on Google Earth. We thank him for his advices and his friend leaves to get a pickup. We load the bicycles on the pickup and he drives us to the hotel in the nearest city.
The next day, we understand that we have been very lucky: there was no nice place to camp and no hotel on the way we wanted to try in the evening. Only a refinery with a baaaad smell.
So we would like to thank M. Papafilis and his friend, and Panagiotis from the hotel in Isthmiawho gave us an olive oil bottle when we left and who now follows us on facebook (hi!).
